Share Your Views: Boscombe Overcliff New Public Space
Help shape the future of the unused space beside Café Riva
BCP Council leases an area of land alongside Boscombe Overcliff Drive to Café Riva, but much of the site is currently unused.
A small corner of the space is due to become an outdoor gym, which I welcome. However, most of the remaining area will still be left unused, and I believe there is an opportunity for it to provide a wider benefit to the local community.
I am working alongside ward councillors Eleanor Connolly and George Farquhar to explore how the site could be put to better use. We are keen to hear your ideas, whether for new community facilities, activities, green space, or something entirely different.
I want any proposals to reflect the priorities of the people who live nearby and use the area. I will gather the suggestions residents put forward and present them to BCP Council.
I will also be hosting a public meeting with Eleanor and George at a later date, giving residents the opportunity to discuss the different ideas and help shape what happens next. Further details about the meeting will follow.
