We Can Reopen Charminster Library

I’m calling on BCP Council to think twice, to accept Labour’s plan to invest in libraries and draw on the extra money resulting from their higher council tax charges.

Sign my petition to show BCP Council the strength of public support for Charminster Library.

Please share your stories about why Charminster Library matters to you.

Together, anything is possible. Let’s get this much-loved library the repairs it needs and let’s reopen this beautiful space to everyone in our community.

Save Charminster Library

Charminster Library’s indefinite closure is wrong – and completely avoidable.

In December, BCP Council shut the library. In February, BCP Council blocked Labour’s plan to invest £500,000 into our local libraries.

When the Liberal Democrats, Independents, and Greens rejected Labour’s plan, it was clear to everyone that Charminster Library urgently needed significant repairs.

The choice before councillors was clear in February: accept Labour’s plan and repair Charminster Library or reject Labour’s plan and force this much-loved space to shut down.

Their choice has taken away a vital public space. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. Sign my petition and let’s get Charminster Library repaired and reopened.
