Marine Surgery in Southbourne is set to benefit from Government funding to upgrade its facilities.

The funding will enable the practice to create two new clinical rooms.

These improvements will help increase capacity at the surgery, making it easier for patients to get an appointment when they need one.

Marine Surgery is one of four Bournemouth practices set to benefit as part of a wider national investment in 1,000 GP surgeries.

Across the country, this upgrade programme with enable an extra 8.3 million GP appointments each year.

Work is expected to begin in summer 2025.

This is the kind of investment which makes a real difference, because people can feel it.

It’s vital people are seen promptly and locally, and I’m delighted that patients at Marine Surgery will soon benefit from this upgrade.

Another step towards the strong, accessible NHS service that you deserve.
