Safer Phones Bill
As your MP, I will have the first opportunity to debate the contents of the Safer Phones Bill on Friday 7th March.
I will be voting for this bill to protect children and support parents and guardians, and have met parents supporting the bill and concerned for children’s wellbeing.
I am concerned about children “doom-scrolling” – spending excessive amounts of time online consuming negative news or social media.
Parents are guardians are concerned, and children themselves recognise the harm that comes with doom-scrolling.
I want to represent your views in Parliament. Please do share them so I can understand the situation for you, your child(ren), and local schools.
Please also share this survey with parents and guardians and people in Bournemouth East who may want to share their views.
I will get back to everyone who responds to this survey with updates.
By completing this survey, you consent to receiving updates from Tom Hayes MP about the Safer Phones Bill. If you have opted in, you will also be subscribed to Tom Hayes MP’s newsletter to stay informed about his work and campaigns.
